125 AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS 2019 Nicolás Gambetta, academic coordinator of the Graduate Programs in Accounting and Taxation. He received the Certificate of Distinction for Scientific Quality for his article “The potential of listed companies in Latin America to finance the sustainable development goals,” co-authored with Dr. Inés García Fronti (University of Buenos Aires), Dr. Valeska V. Geldress-Weiss (Universidad de la Frontera, Chile), Dr. Mauricio Gómez-Villegas (National University of Colombia), and Dr. Marcela Jaramillo (Autonomous University of the State of Mexico), which was presented at the 20th AECA 2019 International Congress—Spanish Association of Accounting and Business Administration—held in Málaga. September. Marcel Kemper, a student in the Bachelor’s program in Economics and a teaching assistant in the Department of Economics, who completed his exchange semester at Tampere University (Finland). Together with his group—composed of one Chinese student and two Finnish students—he won the InnoEvent Tampere 2019: “The innovation festival for fun collaboration,” an event in which 20 major Finnish companies present their daily operational challenges to 500 university students, for advising the company UPM Raflatac. November. Emanuel Schertz, a research assistant in the Department of Economics and an advanced student in the Bachelor of Economics program. He was accepted as a Research Fellow in Harvard University’s Opportunity Insights program. April. Ignacio Franzosi, Felipe Maurente, and Fabricio Orsi, students in the Bachelor of Management and Administration program and the Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in International Business at Florida International University (FIU). They were included on the FIU Dean’s Honor Roll due to their high grades, as part of the dual degree program with the aforementioned U.S. university. May. Martín González, professor in the Organizational Behavior and Human Resources department, and a graduate of the MBA and the Bachelor’s in Management and Administration programs. He was elected president of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Uruguay for a two-year term (2019–2021). May. Dr. Nicolás Gambetta
