73 OUTREACH ACTIVITIES 2019 Donation of the “Underground Images” Exhibition by the School of Visual Arts to the National Library From February 26 to March 22, Universidad ORT Uruguay “Underground Images” exhibition by the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York was held in the central hall of Universidad ORT Uruguay . The exhibition, which has of the best posters created by SVA since 1947 for New York’s vast subway system, offers insight into the history of SVA’s academic output. Through the efforts of the School of Communication and Design, SVA agreed to donate this exhibition to the National Library so that it may become part of its cultural collection and be made available to the general public. International Symposium “Disinformation as a Crisis” On September 11, the international symposium “Disinformation as a Crisis” took place at Antel’s Telecommunications Tower, organized by Universidad ORT Uruguay the support of UNESCO, the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation, the School of Communications at the Catholic University of Chile, and Observacom. The event, which brought together 12 speakers from Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay, was attended by more than 250 people.
