9 INSTITUTIONAL NEWS 2020 Universidad ORT Uruguay as the Most Reputable University in the Country Universidad ORT Uruguay 28th in the Merco Empresas Uruguay 2020 ranking, presented on December 17 by Merco (Corporate Reputation Business Monitor). ORT leads the ranking in the universities category. Merco is a tool that evaluates the reputation of companies and leaders, based on a multistakeholder methodology comprising six assessments and 25 information sources. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Universidad ORT Uruguay the only one in Uruguay to appear in the Global Executive MBA Rankings. According to QS, the MBA program was ranked among the top 141 globally and fifth regionally. Other prominent Executive MBA (EMBA) programs appear in the same ranking as ORT, such as those at Adolfo Ibáñez University in Chile; École des Ponts ParisTech in France; Aston University and the University of Bradford in England; and the University of Arizona, Fordham University, Georgia State University, and the Cox School of Business in the United States. Once again, ORT’s MBA ranks among the top 25 in the region according to América Economía. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Universidad ORT Uruguay among the top 25 in the region, according to the 2020 Latin American MBA Ranking by América Economía magazine. Furthermore, ORT’s MBA has been the only program from Uruguay in this ranking for over 25 years. The ranking is based on an evaluation of five pillars of MBA programs and their respective business schools: Academic Strength (30%), Return on Investment (20%), Internationalization and Diversity (16%), Knowledge Production (14%), and Network Power (20%). This year, the top three spots in the ranking are held by the Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo - Fundação Getulio Vargas, Adolfo Ibáñez University, and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
