49 Universidad ORT Uruguay 15th Student Conference" of the School of Engineering On September 12, the "15th Student Conference" of the School of Engineering took place, featuring twelve lectures and presentations of business and academic projects. "12th ORT Programming Contest" As part of the "15th Student Conference" of the School of Engineering, the "12th ORT Programming Contest" took place. The top two finishers in the contest represented the university at the Latin American Final of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) Programming Contest, which took place in Buenos Aires on November 10. The team consisting of José Chiarino, Felipe Coirolo, and Nicolás Saúl, Systems Engineering students, ranked 128th (top 9.5%), and the team composed of Germán Chiazzo and Álvaro Ingold, Systems Engineering students, and Ismael Rodríguez, an Electronics Engineering student, ranked 154th (top 11.4%). A total of 1,347 teams from 15 countries participated in the Latin American competition. Magdalena Sabaj, a Systems Engineering student, delivered the lecture “Performance and Stress Testing” at the “XV Student Conference.” “7th ICT Job Fair” The Graduate Coordination Office of the School of Engineering organized the “7th ICT Job Fair.” This event has been held since 2006 in response to the growing demand for professionals trained in the field of information and communication technologies, with the aim of supporting the employment of students and graduates. A total of 26 companies and organizations participated, including: Globant, IntegraciónAfap, Infocorp, Tata Consultancy Services, and Tenaris, as well as the consulting firms Advice, Manpower, and Recursos Humanos y Capacitación (RHC). 7th ICT Job Fair OUTREACH ACTIVITIES 2012
