52 2012 Yearbook Final Academic Fashion Show for the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design: “Enjambée | infinite footsteps” On December 5, the final academic fashion show for the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, titled this year “Enjambée | infinite footsteps,” took place at the El Galpón theater. Twenty sixth-semester students from the program participated with their runway collections. The academic fashion show consisted of individual collections grouped under the themes “Disturbing Mosaic,” “Static Erosion,” and “Sparkling Mix.” Creative Contest “24 Hours for Respect for Diversity” The School of Communication and Design organized the creative contest “24 Hours,” which took place on August 31 and September 1. The objective was to create a campaign “For Respect for Diversity.” This contest was held at the request of the Honorary Commission against Racism, Xenophobia, and All Forms of Discrimination of the Ministry of Education and Culture. Forty students from the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a focus on Advertising, the Advertising Analyst program, and the Graphic Design program participated. The jury consisted of Marcelo Alfonzo, Director of Universia Uruguay; Dr. Alicia Esquivel, Member of the Honorary Commission against Racism, Xenophobia, and All Forms of Discrimination; Miguel Olivencia, Director of Advertising Communication; and Monserrat Ramos, Professor of Advertising at the faculty. The winning team was selected as consisting of Martín Biurrun, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a concentration in Advertising, and Lucía Apa, Florencia Fabini, Franca Idiarte, Noelia Matkovich, and Alex Zavala, students in the Advertising Analyst program.
