53 Universidad ORT Uruguay DEVELOPMENT Universidad ORT Uruguay WITH EXTERNAL ORGANIZATIONS 2013 School of Engineering Tire Tracking Authors: Andrés Baez, Germán Gorosito, Pablo Leites de Moraes, and Robert Moumdjian Organization: Smartway The project aims to manage the tires of a vehicle fleet and maintain efficient tire traceability, automatically notifying users when tires need to be replaced, rotated, or discarded. The goal is to prevent tires from being replaced before the end of their useful life or driving on worn-out tires, which poses a safety risk. It consists of two applications: a web application developed in Python for administrative users and an Android app for workshop users (shop floor mechanics). Major: Systems Engineering Advisor: Pablo Hernández Event Venue Management Authors: Germán Aguerre, Pablo Icardo, Alejandro Melgar, and Juan Slinger Organization: Grupocine The project is a web-based venue management system developed in .NET with an MSSQL database that uses the DNN (DotNetNuke) platform for content management. It also features a native Android version for use on mobile phones. The objective is to provide information about events at the venue or venue complexes, offering a sales channel for ticket purchases. From the application’s back-end, system users manage venues and complexes, schedule current and future events with timings and ticket quantities, generate campaigns based on preferences and purchase history, and create advertising banners. From the front-end, venue customers can view the event schedule, showtimes, and seat availability, and purchase tickets. Major: Systems Engineering Advisor: Ignacio Valle
