95 Universidad ORT Uruguay Blankleider Graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication. The short film “Family Day,” directed by Blankleider, received the Special Jury Prize at the 10th edition of the “Concours de Courts” held in Toulouse, France. In addition, the short film won in the “Most Innovative for Fiction” category at the 2013 Gold Panda Awards, held as part of the 12th edition of the Sichuan TV Festival in China, organized by the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television and the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government. November. Liliana Farber Graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. She received an honorable mention at the “2013 Salto Biennial” for her video “Cache.” September. Amir Hamed Professor of Narrative Theory in the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. His publication “Interruptor” won one of the “2013 Competitive Grants” from the Ministry of Education and Culture in the “Magazines Specializing in Culture” category, and his literary-musical project “Veladas Beatnik Rock and Reading IV,” in the “Literature” category. September. Carolina Campo, Graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication, and Gerardo Castelli, Academic Coordinator of Audiovisual Studies. The documentary project “El hombre congelado,” directed by Campo and produced by Castelli, was selected to participate in the Rough Cut Lab at the Visions du Réel festival, held in Nyon, Switzerland. For the first time, a Uruguayan project participated in the Rough Cut Lab at this festival, where films in their final stages of production receive expert guidance. April. AWARDS 2013
