He was selected in the 2014 call for applications for the Peace Project under the European Union’s Erasmus Mundus program to pursue a Master’s degree in Information Systems at Uppsala University (Sweden). Florencia Arezzo, a student in the Biotechnology Engineering program; María Victoria Falco, Natalia Larrieux, Cecilia Maciel, and Gastón Risi, students in the Bachelor’s in Biotechnology program; and Ismael Rodríguez, a student in the Electronics Engineering program and teaching assistant in the Applied Mathematics for Telecommunications (MATE) group. They received research initiation scholarships from the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII). June. Santiago Matalonga, research professor in Software Engineering. He received the 2014 Ibero-America Scholarship for Young Professors and Researchers, awarded by Santander Universities, to conduct a research stay at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. June. Alejandro Milieris and Carlos Gagliardi, Systems Engineering students. They received the Emerging Leaders in the Americas programme scholarship programme the Government of Canada to complete an academic semester at Université Laval. July. María Belén Harreguy, graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology. She received a Fulbright scholarship awarded by the U.S. Government in conjunction with the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) to pursue a master’s degree in biotechnology in the United States. August. Juan Michelini, research teaching assistant in the Theoretical Computing (CompuTe) group. He received a National Graduate Scholarship from the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) to complete his Master’s in Engineering through Research. December.
