101 School of Communication and Design: Diego Chiola, Andrés Espina, and Nicolás Noblia, students in the Bachelor of Industrial Design program. Chiola’s “Ava” light fixture won first prize in the Student Division, Lighting category, at the 2014 Salão Design Movelsul Brazil. The Frans bench, by Espina and Noblia, won first prize in the Student category for Outdoor Furniture. For these projects, DI Alejandro Trinidad, instructor of Industrial Design 5 and Computer-Aided Design 1, and DI Pablo D’Angelo, instructor of Industrial Design 3, were recognized as faculty advisors. February. María Emilia Rodríguez and Florencia Sica, graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design. Their haute couture atelier Tissora won first prize for Best Murga Costume at the 2014 Carnival, awarded by the Municipality of Montevideo, for the Momolandia costume. March. Lucía Vázquez Feble, a student in the Bachelor of Fashion Design program.
