The short film *El día de la familia*, directed by Blankleider and produced as part of the ORT Digital Program, was nominated in the categories of Best Short Film from the Vault and Best Editing in a Narrative, Dramatic, or Comedic Short Film at The Short Film Awards festival in New York in December. Sebastián Bednarik, Carolina Campo, Gerardo Castelli, Guzmán García Rodríguez, and Andrés Varela are graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication. The project Maracaná, directed by Bednarik and Varela, with screenplay and editing by García Rodríguez, and the project El hombre congelado, directed by Campo and produced by Castelli, were selected to receive financial support in the Documentary category of the first 2014 call for proposals of the Montevideo Socio Audiovisual Program, organized by the Municipality of Montevideo. April. Florencia Imbriaco and Sara Vila, students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design programme , received the Emerging Leaders in the Americas programme scholarship programme the Government of Canada to complete an academic semester at Université Laval.
