69 Final Academic Fashion Show for the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design: “Puesta en escena 11: Mambo#15” On December 11, the final academic fashion show for the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, “Puesta en escena 11: Mambo#15,” took place at the Dr. Adela Reta National Auditorium of Sodre. Fifteen sixth-semester students from the program participated with their runway collections. The academic fashion show consisted of individual collections grouped under the themes: Game On, Botanical Paradise, and Wanderlust. International Animation Festival – FIA 14 The Academic Coordination of Animation at the School of Communication and Design organized the eighth edition of the “International Animation Festival – FIA 14” from September 17 to 19, an event declared of Cultural Interest by the Ministry of Education and Culture. A total of 165 entries from 37 countries participated in the categories of Animated Short Film, Experimental Animated Short Film, Web Animation, Animation School Reels, and Advertising Short Film/Music Video. The Grand Jury Prize and Best Animated Short Film went to *Cuerdas* by Pedro Solís (Spain), and the best Uruguayan animated short film was *Anselmo quiere saber*, by Juan Álvarez and Emilio Silva, produced by Tarkio Film Uruguay. As part of the festival, three workshops were held for 10th and 11th grade students: Stop Motion, Cartooning, and Video Game Pitching. OUTREACH ACTIVITIES 2014
