His work has been published in the last two biannual editions (2014–2017). November. Joaquín Rossi, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Video Games, and Carolina Zunino, a faculty member in the Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Video Games. Rossi’s Night Light project and Zunino’s Cerca project were selected by the Ministry of Education and Culture’s 2016 Competitive Fund for Culture, in the Animation and Video Games category. December. Likewise, Pablo Cidade, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Video Games, received a special mention for his project From Old Age, and Juan Miguel Pais, a graduate of the same program, received a mention for his project Bonsai Spirit. December. Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences Ricardo Kaufmann, associate professor of General Administration. The paper “Advanced manufacturing technologies, quality management practices, and manufacturing performance in the Southern Cone of Latin America,” authored by Dr. Kaufmann together with Dr. Alejandro Bello and Dr. Javier Merino, published in the journal Management Research: The Journal of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management 2015, was recognized with the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence. April. Mauro Carballo, a student in the Master’s in Technology Business Management program; Gastón Legnani, a graduate of the Bachelor’s in Systems program; and Agustín Sartorio, a graduate of the Master’s in Technology Business Management program. Their startup Krowth, incubated at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, was the winner for Uruguay in IBM Smartcamp, a global entrepreneurship competition. November. Leonardo Silveira, a graduate of the Bachelor’s in Management and Administration program and co-founder of the company Woow, was chosen by the readers of InfoNegocios as the 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year.
