His firm, Izzi Design, participated, alongside nine designers from our country, in the exhibition “Uruguay, a natural collective,” which took place as part of the Designjunction interior design fair in London from September 20 to 23. Dr. Paula Cardellino (United Kingdom) Research professor at the School of Architecture. She presented the paper “Re-balancing policy on poverty and education with a focus on relational justice: educational transitions, new school buildings, and poverty-proofing the school day” at the British Educational Research Association Annual Conference (BERA 2018), held at Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, September 10–13. 32 Conducted in collaboration with Dr. Laura Mazzoli, Academy Fellow at the Research Centre for Learning and Teaching at Newcastle University; Dr. Liz Todd, Professor of Educational Inclusion at Newcastle University; Dr. Pamela Woolner, Researcher at the School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences at Newcastle University; and Dr. Leanne Henderson, Research Fellow at the School of Arts, English and Languages at Queen’s University Belfast. Institute of Education Dr. Denise Vaillant (Argentina) Academic Secretary of the Institute of Education. She delivered the lecture “Initial Teacher Education: International Debates and Experiences” at the invitation of the National Institute for Teacher Education of Argentina, at the Center for Advanced University Studies, Buenos Aires, on May 17. Dr. Claudia Cabrera (Argentina) Project Assistant for ORACLE (Regional Observatory for Quality and Equity in Higher Education) and Graduate Program Advisor. Mag. Mariela Questa-Torterolo (Argentina) Project Assistant for ORACLE and Graduate Program Instructor. Mag. Andrea Tejera (Argentina) ORACLE Project Coordinator and Academic Coordinator of the Master’s in Educational Management. They presented the paper “Contributions to the Reflection on Educational Inclusion: The Case of the Institute of Education at Universidad ORT Uruguay the Framework of the ORACLE Project” at the 8th Ibero-American Congress on Pedagogy (CIP 2018), organized by the Spanish Society of Pedagogy and the National University of Tres de Febrero, Buenos Aires, August 14–17. In addition, Dr. Cabrera presented the article “The use of mobile devices in teacher training in Uruguay: what are the challenges 10 years after the Ceibal Plan?” 33 at CIP 2018, Buenos Aires, August 14–17. 33 Conducted in collaboration with Dr. Eduardo Rodríguez Zidán, associate academic coordinator of graduate programs at the Institute of Education of Universidad ORT Uruguay; Dr. Carlos Marcelo García, professor of the Doctoral Thesis Presentation at the Institute of Education; Dr. Carmen Yot, research professor at the University of Seville, Spain; and Dr. Juan Pablo Zorrilla, assistant professor in the School of Administration and Social Sciences at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
