She received an honorable mention for her poetry collection *Fin de año* in the unpublished poetry contest organized by the Ideas+ Fair and the Nancy Bacelo Foundation. December. Mauricio Sabaj, graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. He received a special mention in the National Literature Award, in the category of Essays on History, Memoirs, Testimonies, and Biographies, in the unpublished works category, for his work El condenado. The awards are organized annually by the National Directorate of Culture of the Ministry of Education and Culture. December. Margot Baridon and María Bouvier, graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design. Their brands were selected by the Uruguayan Chamber of Design and Uruguay XXI for exhibition at the Capsule fair during New York Fashion Week in the United States. February. Nicolás Medina, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a focus on Audiovisual Studies. He was selected as a student juror for the 19th International Film School Festival organized by the Uruguayan Film School and the Uruguayan Film Archive. August. Likewise, the short film Claroscuro by Valentina Titakis, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a focus on Audiovisual Studies, was selected for screening at the festival from among 70 short films from 53 film schools in 29 countries. August. María Pía Amorín, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a focus on Journalism. She was chosen to represent Uruguay at the 10th edition of the Program for the Strengthening of the Civil Service in Latin America organized by the Botín Foundation, alongside 32 students from across Ibero-America. October. Sofía Abi-Saab, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, and Pía Langenhin, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design. Their designs were selected to illustrate the notebooks that Montevideo Shopping sold to support the 7th edition of the “Feeling Good Is the Best Start” campaign, which aims to raise awareness and support the educational initiatives of the Honorary Commission for the Fight Against Cancer.
