56 2019 Yearbook Entrepreneurial Arena - Workshops for Women Entrepreneurs This project, aimed at women, seeks to foster a culture of entrepreneurship. It consists of awareness-raising workshops for women entrepreneurs designed to help them explore their creative limits and gain the confidence to navigate uncertainty, make decisions, and work as a team. Project Lead: Enrique Topolansky Funding: National Development Agency (ANDE) Duration: 6 months Training for the Honduran Institute of Science, Technology, and Innovation The objective of this project is to collaborate on the awareness-raising, training, and selection of Honduran entrepreneurs within the framework of the Honduran Institute of Science, Technology, and Innovation’s Honduras Startup Program. Principal Investigator: Enrique Topolansky Funding: Honduran Institute of Science, Technology, and Innovation (IHCIETI) Duration: 12 months Faculty of Engineering Type Control for Nominal Type Theory The purpose of this project is to develop a constructive version of nominal logic in the form of a functional language with dependent types, combining the programming/proof style with formalized mathematics via the Curry-Howard isomorphism. Principal Investigator: Nora Szasz Funding: National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) Duration: 24 months Electric Vehicle Charging Management and Its Smart Integration with the Power Grid The objective of this project is to study the optimal management of a fleet of vehicles on the grid through mathematical modeling. Principal Investigator: Andrés Ferragut Funding: National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) Duration: 24 months Optimization and stochastic models for planning and dispatch in the power grid This project consists of training and advising the National Administration of Power Plants and Electric Transmissions (UTE) on the use of optimization and modeling techniques applied to power grids and energy dispatch.
