He participated as an arbitrator in the 8th LLM (Master of Laws) International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition, invited by the Washington College of Law at American University, Washington, D.C., March 28–30. Mag. Dinorah Margounato (United States) Assistant Marketing Coordinator. Dr. Gustavo Rubinsztejn (United States) Academic Marketing Coordinator. They participated in the Carolan Research Forum Conference at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where they presented two research studies conducted for the Carolan Research Institute at Universidad ORT Uruguay motivations for using social media and the engagement of millennial students in the learning process. Rubinsztejn presented the paper “Millennial Students’ Engagement in Higher Education” and Margounato, “Motivations for Social Media Use,” Texas, April 5 and 6. Dr. Gaston J. Labadie (United States) Dean of the School of Management and Social Sciences. He attended the 1st Dean’s Workshop of CLADEA (Latin American Council of Business Schools), held at Florida International University, Miami, May 30–31. Dr. Francisco Rosas (United States) Research Professor and Chair of Econometrics and Statistics. Visited the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to attend The Curriculum and Course Design Workshop organized by the Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab (J-WEL) at MIT, Boston, June 10–22. He also conducted a research stay at the Department of Economics at Iowa State University, where he worked with professors Dr. Sergio Lence, Dr. Dermot Hayes, and Dr. Peter Orazem on their shared research interests, Iowa, July 17–26. He also presented the academic poster “Duality theory in empirical work: Evaluating the performance of an alternative method” 23 at the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association Annual Meeting (AAEA 2019), Atlanta, July 21–23. 23 Conducted in collaboration with Dr. Sergio Lence, Professor and Marlin Cole Chair of International Agricultural Economics, Department of Economics, Iowa State University, United States.
