103 AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS 2020 Dani Scharf, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. He won third prize at the 2020 Chen Bochui International Children’s Literature Award, which is part of the Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair. He also received an honorable mention in the Single Illustration category of the 7th Uruguay Illustration Award, organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, for his work *Time Moves On and So Does Life*. November. María Lucía Boiani and Lucía Franco Fuidio, graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. They received honorable mentions in the Poster Design Contest for the 2020 National Crafts Award, organized by the National Directorate of Crafts, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of the Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Mining. June. Juan Manuel Díaz, a graduate of the Graphic Design program, and Lucía Franco, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. They received honorable mentions in the Single Illustration category of the 7th Uruguay Illustration Award, organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, for their works *El Maslow* and *Recurring Dream – Blind Man’s Bluff*, respectively. November. Ximena Aleman, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Communication. She was recognized by Iupana, a news portal specializing in finance in Latin America and the Caribbean, as one of the nine “Disruptors of 2020,” an award honoring women who led innovation in banking and fintech in Latin America this year. December. Pedro Corso, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design program. He was recognized by the authorities at Escuela Horizonte for his outstanding work and dedication in redesigning the institution’s image through the Recreación 20 project. March. Lucie Beare and María Eugenia Pienovi, graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design; María Alejandra Bouvier, Antonella De Giuda, and Sofía Domínguez, graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design; and Vivian Sulimovich, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design. The brands Le Mouton by Beare and Pienovi, María Bouvier by the same designer, Milo by De Giuda, Rotunda by Domínguez, and Zarvich by Sulimovich were five of the fifteen Uruguayan brands selected to participate in the Capsule Fair at New York Fashion Week, the most important event in the U.S. fashion industry.
