105 AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS 2020 Andrea Pérez Stevenazzi and Valentina Titakis, students in the Bachelor of Communication program with a focus on Audiovisual Studies. The short films *Como los erizos* by Pérez Stevenazzi and *Claroscuro* by Titakis are two of the five finalists representing Uruguay in the Faciuni Scholarships competition—the International Academic University Film Festival organized by DirecTV. January. Valentina Baracco, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication, and Carolina Campo, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication and a faculty member in the program. The project *La fábula de la tortuga y la flor*, produced by Baracco and directed by Campo, was selected in the Feature-Length Documentary Production category in the first 2020 call for proposals of the Film and Audiovisual Development Fund of the National Film and Audiovisual Directorate (ICAU) for funding. April. Additionally, in the TV Documentary Series category, the production of *Uruguayas*, produced by Monarca Films—a production company founded by Valentina Baracco alongside Eugenia Olascuaga—was recognized. April. Meanwhile, the films Matarifes, written and directed by Rafael Antonaccio, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication, and Bernardo Antonaccio, an advanced student in the program, and El milagro del surubí, written and directed by Lorenzo Tocco, a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a focus on Audiovisual Studies, were selected in the Feature-Length Fiction Film Production category. April. Finally, Noctilucas, produced and co-directed by Alina Kaplan, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a focus on Audiovisual Studies, won an award in the Short Film Production category.
