74 2020 Yearbook 2020 OUTREACH ACTIVITIES 20th International Animation Festival (FIA 20) On September 29 and 30 and October 1, the Academic Coordination of Animation organized the 14th edition of the International Animation Festival (FIA 20). More than 198 short films participated from Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Martinique, the Netherlands, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Sweden, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The Grand Jury Prize went to the short film *Roberto*, directed by Carmen Córdoba González (Spain), which also won the Best Animated Short Film award. The Best Experimental Short Film award went to Blüte, directed by Jing Yi Low (Taiwan). The Best Student Short Film was Disparus, by Valentine Ventura, Tiphaine Burguburu, Clémentine Vasseur, Lisa Laîné, and Élodie Labord (France). The Best Uruguayan Short Film was Capital, by Diego Capuccio, a film that also won Best Advertising / Music Video. The Best Student Short Film from Uruguay was Goober, directed by Lucía García and Diego Edelman, students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Video Games at Universidad ORT Uruguay. Tapá Bocas Contest, supported by the Ministry of Public Health The School of Communication and Design at Universidad ORT Uruguay the VMLY&R agency challenged 11th and 12th-grade high school students through the Tapá Bocas contest to come up with creative messages encouraging young Uruguayans to enjoy the summer and their vacations responsibly. This contest was supported by the Ministry of Public Health. The winning idea was submitted by María José Baraibar Pérez, a 12th-grade student at Liceo Latinoamericano. The selected project may be featured in a nationwide advertising campaign developed by the advertising agency VMLY&R and Universidad ORT Uruguay.
