75 OUTREACH ACTIVITIES 2020 Fashion Design Bachelor’s Program Runways On December 15, the final academic runway show for the Fashion Design Bachelor’s Program, *Virtual Fashion Show | Human Borders*, took place virtually. Sixteen third-year students from the program participated with their runway collections. The show consisted of the presentation of their individual collections: Blocked, Xanax, Mental Loop, Shout out, Impinge, Noxus, Blurred Aim, Ruido, Oppression, Drowned Mind, I&US, Inner Coexist, Tsubaki, Sakura, Raw, and Pura. Additionally, on August 7, Nexo Atávico took place at the Punta Carretas Lighthouse drive-in theater, an unconventional fashion event in the midst of a global pandemic. The goal was to create and breathe new life into four collections conceived, designed, and produced exclusively from surplus materials from national industries. Thirteen students, inspired by their ancestral roots, presented the Ardé, Bruto, Dual, and Nato collections. ORT Media Lab | UN75 Project, co-organized with the United Nations The United Nations Uruguay, the School of Communication and Design, and the School of Engineering at Universidad ORT Uruguay graduates and advanced students to participate in the ORT Media Lab | UN75 project. This initiative sought to foster the development of creative and innovative proposals to improve the country’s quality of life from the United Nations’ global perspective, within the framework of its 75th anniversary and the slogan “shaping our future together.” The Otter project, carried out by students and graduates from the School of Communication and Design and the School of Administration and Social Sciences, was the winning proposal. The Otter team consisted of Zálah Acosta and Agustín Marinucci, graduates of the Technical Program in Audiovisual Production; Nicolás Guala, a student in the Bachelor’s Program in Design, Art, and Technology; and Paula Pizzano, a student in the Marketing Analyst Program. The Otter app seeks to foster connections between people and mitigate the impact of loneliness. Nexo Atávico Collection
