76 2020 Yearbook School of Architecture Sixteenth Edition of the “Design Your Room” Contest In July, the School of Architecture, with the support of Radio Disney, organized the sixteenth edition of the “Design Your Room” contest. A total of 66 students in their fifth and sixth years of high school from public and private schools across the country participated. The first-place winner, Santiago Zeballos, a student at Colegio Santa María de los Hermanos Maristas, received a full scholarship to pursue a degree in Architecture or Interior Design, and the two second-place winners, Cecilia Braña from Colegio Sagrada Familia and Juan Andrés Kurkunian from Liceo No. 36, each received a 50% scholarship to pursue one of these degrees. Spaghetti Challenge Contest On October 29, the School of Architecture organized the second edition of the Spaghetti Challenge contest, in which 11th and 12th-grade students from any academic track were tasked with building a structure using spaghetti and instant glue capable of supporting the weight of several bricks. Twelve students from high schools across the country participated. First prize went to the team of Emiliano Cascardo and Germán Fernández, students at the English School, who received a 50% scholarship to pursue a degree in Architecture or a Bachelor’s in Interior Design. Second place went to Sofía Salgado from the Colegio Inglés, and third place went to the team of Luciana Colombo and María Eugenia Cardozo, both from Liceo No. 4 Juan Zorrilla in San Martín. All winners received 100% scholarships for the course “BIM Methodology for Building and Managing Architectural Projects.” 2020 OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
