School of Communication

It conducts teaching, research, outreach, and academic administration activities in various areas of communication. It carries out projects related to media, audiovisual and audio production, content, creativity, and strategic communication, with a strong link between academic training and professional practice.

About the Proposal

The purpose of this position is to assist in the creation, editing, publication, and updating of content for the Faculty of Communication’s website and social media accounts.

The selected candidate will work in coordination with the Content and Events Coordinator and the Web Coordination team.

You will be responsible for transforming academic and institutional information into clear, engaging, and appropriate content for various channels, combining web copywriting, creativity, graphic design, and short-form video editing.

The main responsibilities will be:
  • Write, edit, and update news, announcements, events, and other content for the college's website.
  • Collect and organize information in collaboration with academic and institutional experts.
  • Publish and manage content in the CMS, verifying data, links, currency, and proper formatting.
  • Adapt content from the website for social media, email campaigns, and other digital platforms.
  • Design graphics for social media and email campaigns using Canva.
  • Edit short videos for social media using CapCut or similar tools.
  • Schedule posts and assist with the day-to-day management of the college's social media accounts.
  • Propose creative ideas, formats, and approaches for organic content and social media campaigns.
  • Apply basic principles of digital writing, SEO, and GEO to optimize web content.

Requirements

  • Be a graduate or advanced student in communication, journalism, content creation, or a related field.
  • Possess excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Have at least six months of work experience in content creation, digital communications, social media management, agencies, or related fields.
  • Practical skills in using Canva and CapCut.
  • Understand the basics of using web content management systems (CMS).
  • Apply basic knowledge of digital writing, SEO, and GEO.
  • Demonstrate creativity and sound judgment in proposing ideas, formats, and content narratives for various digital channels.
  • Possess organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
