Research activities strengthen the development of the university community and enrich the learning process, attracting a broader range of scholars, providing research training opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate degree students, integrating the university into international academic networks, promoting the ongoing updating of teaching methods and curriculum content, and connecting the institution with the business community and society at large.

  • Research Support Fund

    Research Support Fund

    Universidad ORT Uruguay has a Research Support Fund, which aims to finance, either wholly or partially, the costs of submitting articles to scientific journals and presenting them at peer-reviewed conferences.

    This is an annual fund with an open application period.

    Applications for this fund should be submitted to the dean of the relevant school.

  • Carolan Research Forum

    This is a competition open to applied research projects seeking funding and promoting the ideas of Dr. Geraldine Fennell. 

    Fennel was a visiting professor and researcher at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and dedicated her life to marketing research and advancing the field.

    Australian Studies Center

    The Australian Studies Centre (ASC) is an academic institute dedicated primarily to strengthening academic and cultural ties between Australia and the region, particularly with Uruguay.

    To collaborate with researchers, students, and academics in fields of mutual interest in Australia and Uruguay, helping to foster academic ties between the two countries.
