Representatives from Magen David Adom participated in an international course organized by the Red Cross
July 13, 2009
A five-member delegation from Magen David Adom (MDA, the equivalent of the Red Cross) in Israel participated in a training course for instructors organized by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, which took place in Barcelona. Representatives from the Red Cross branches in Uruguay, Honduras, Canada, Panama, Uganda, Ghana, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Tunisia, Lebanon, and the Palestinian Authority also participated.
Meetings with representatives from different countries, as well as a deep understanding of their cultures, customs, and diverse perspectives—even those of countries considered enemies—demonstrate the enduring relevance of the Red Cross principles.
