Also participating in the ceremony were representatives from the Multilateral Investment Fund of the Inter-American Development Bank (Fomin / IDB), Prospéritas Capital Partners, and public and private organizations committed to entrepreneurship in the country.
The “Emprendedores en la Mira” competition is organized annually by the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Uruguay (AJE), in partnership with the Emprender Fund and Junior Chamber International ( JCI). A total of 43 startups entered the 2010 edition, 16 of which advanced to the finals. Only three of them, including CW Contenidos, received recognition for their growth potential, the innovation they demonstrate, and the team behind them.
The jury was composed of representatives from LATU, the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII), Endeavor, Ingenio, and private investors. The competition winners now have the opportunity to participate in the startup selection process to access seed capital from the Fondo Emprender.
