"Business Process Management" Seminar

On Wednesday, August 4, the seminar “Business Process Management (BPM)” took place in the Auditorium of the School of Engineering, led by Assistant Professor Carlos Nieves, Professor Renato de Laurentiis, Engineer Diego Karbuski, Assistant Professor Pablo García, and Engineer Julio Larrechart. The event aimed to promote BPM as a methodology and technology through the presentation of products and success stories by leading experts in the field at the national and international levels. The event was organized by the faculty’s Department of Information Systems.

Assoc. Prof. Nieves is a professor of Decision Support Systems in the School of Engineering.

Prof. de Laurentiis is one of the pioneers of BPM in Spain, co-founder and technical coordinator of the first Master’s degree program in Business Process Management organized and taught by the BPM Club.

Eng. Karbuski leads strategic BPM projects at the software development company STATUM Uruguay. He has participated in the implementation of numerous BPM projects in various Latin American countries.

A/P García is the New Technologies Manager at Microsoft Uruguay.

Eng. Julio Larrechart is the BPM Practice Leader at IBM. Co-author of the book "Improving Business Performance Insight with Business Intelligence and Business Process Management."
