The schedule is as follows:
"Python": May 18, led by Nicolás Mora, Teaching Assistant in the Programming Department. Presents the features of the Python language and its syntax, highlighting the differences and similarities with Java.
"Processing": May 25, led by Mauro Taoco, a Systems Engineering student and Teaching Assistant in the Programming Department. Presents the features of the Processing environment and its use as a development tool.
"Unit Testing and JUnit": Wednesday, June 15, at 1:15 p.m. in the faculty’s LC5 Lab (Cuareim 1451), led by Gastón Arias, a Systems Engineering student and Teaching Assistant in the Programming Department. Presents the features, advantages, and limitations of using the JUnit framework.
"Android": Wednesday, June 15 at 2:15 p.m. in the LC5 Lab at the school (Cuareim 1451), led by Lucía Figueroa, a Systems Engineering student and teaching assistant in the Programming Department. Presents the structure of an Android project.
"LEJOS for NXT": Wednesday, June 22 at 1:15 p.m. in the LC5 Lab at the school (Cuareim 1451), led by Juan Michelini, a Systems Science student and teaching assistant in the Computer Science Department, and Paolo Principi, a Telecommunications Engineering student and former teaching assistant in the Programming Department. It presents the features of LEJOS (Lego Java Operating System) and the NXT Brick. It analyzes the creation of LEJOS applications and the programming of examples using NetBeans.
The talks are open to the public and free of charge.
