Ambassador Antoine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a degree in Thomistic Philosophy from the Catholic University of Leuven. He has an extensive diplomatic career within the Belgian Foreign Service, spanning nearly thirty years. He served as Belgium’s Ambassador to Tunisia (2008–2010), Director of Bilateral Relations with Southeast Europe (2005–2008), Consul General in Istanbul (2002–2005), and Counselor in Washington (1994–1997).
