Ignacio Oliveri, a graduate of the Bachelor’s program in Systems at Universidad ORT Uruguay, was named a Social Innovator of the Río de la Plata by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) through its publication MIT Technology Review. He had previously been selected as one of the top 10 entrepreneurs under 35 in Argentina and Uruguay. The award ceremony for the regional competition took place on November 20, 2013, in Buenos Aires. Mr. Oliveri is the founder of ViperMed, a virtual platform that enables remote medical treatment. This venture received support from the CIE (Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship).
