Visit by delegations from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina

On March 14, 2014, a delegation from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina (United States) visited the School of Business and Social Sciences. The delegation consisted of a group of 18 students from the Professional MBA program, led by Prof. Frank Rydzewski, Clinical Professor, and Ms. Libby Hendley, Professional MBA Recruiter.

The visitors were welcomed by the Dean of Academic Development, Julio Fernández, the Dean of the School of Management and Social Sciences, Dr. Gaston Labadie, the MBA Coordinator, Dr. Luis Silva, the Academic Projects Coordinator, Dr. Laura Diaz-Arnesto, and MBA students from Universidad ORT Uruguay.

Isidoro Hodara, Ph.D., Professor of International Trade and Academic Coordinator of Foreign Trade at the faculty, gave the guests a talk titled “An Introduction to Uruguay and the Region.”

Additionally, on March 24 ,the university was visited by Louis F. Dessau, MBA, Regional Director forLatin America at the Office of International Activities of the Darla Moore School of Business; BrittainGoff,Academic Advisor for the Undergraduate Division; andSusan Hochreiter,Senior Study Abroad Advisor at the Study Abroad Office. They were received by Mr. Fernández, Dr. Diaz-Arnesto, and Ms. Miriam Kemna, Student Exchange Coordinator.
