Scratch Day 2014

On May 16, 2014, “Scratch Day 2014” took place at the Plan Ceibal facilities, organized jointly by Universidad ORT Uruguay Plan Ceibal. Scratch is a programming language that allows users to create animations and games, and helps them become familiar with the basics of programming.

“Scratch Day” is an event created by the Scratch team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with the aim of promoting the tool and sharing projects and experiences. The event took place simultaneously in several countries.

Schedule:

10:00 a.m. – Scratch 2.0 workshop for teachers, led by Dr. Inés Kereki, Professor of Programming at the School of Engineering, and Marcelo Rubino, Associate Professor in the Department.
- Robotics/Scratch Workshop for teachers.

2:00 p.m. – Student Project Fair.
3:30 p.m. – Scratch 2.0 Workshop for students and presentations by teachers.
