MBA Annual Dinner

On October 30, 2014, the sixth annual "MBA Dinner" was held at the Uruguay Golf Club. The event included an awards ceremony honoring distinguished alumni of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program for their professional achievements, as well as awards recognizing academic excellence and entrepreneurial spirit among recent graduates.

The dinner was organized by the School of Graduate and Executive Studies of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences with the aim of providing a setting for the alumni community to reconnect.

The following individuals received recognition from the 2014 MBA Alumni community: Aldo Aszyn, Director of Latin America Finance Operations at The Coca-Cola Company; Gabriel Costa, Vice Chairman of the Board and General Manager of Alcatel-Lucent Uruguay; and Ernesto Lima, Director of Ernesto Lima Consulting.

Since 2012, as part of this celebration, academic awards have been presented to recent graduates and recognition has been given to Distinguished Alumni for their career achievements.

On this occasion, the Distinguished Alumni were:

- Aldo Aszyn, MBA 1993, Director of Finance for Latin America at The Coca-Cola Company
- Ing. Gabriel Costa, MBA 1994, Vice Chairman of the Board and General Manager at Alcatel-Lucent
- Ing. Ernesto Lima, MBA 2000, Mining and Construction Consultant

They embody the values of the university and the community, with distinguished careers and achievements earned through hard work, dedication, and an entrepreneurial and responsible attitude. The 2014 Alumni Community Award went to Aldo Aszyn, B.A. in Economics.

The Academic Excellence Award went to Juan Artagaveytia, B.S. in Engineering, for being the recent graduate with the highest grades, and the Best Business Plan Award for the graduating class went to Carolina Olivera, Florencia Rafaniello, and Beatríz Sepúlveda.

For the first time, the award for the Most Participatory Class was presented to the Class of 2006 to recognize their efforts in strengthening the alumni community.

The dinner was sponsored by ART Experience Tour, El Observador, EY, Montevideo Shopping, YOU Fitness Area, Johnnie Walker, Prima Donna from Antigua Bodega Stagnari, Visa, Armon Suites, Dove, and FOTI Real Estate. It was organized in partnership with Valenciana, a communications and social and corporate event planning company.
