Conference : "Israel's New Government: Regional and Global Implications"

On April 13, 2015, the university’s Pocitos campus hosted a lecture titled “Israel’s New Government: Regional and Global Implications,” delivered by Dr. David Harris, executive director of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) since 1990.


The conference focused on the emerging reality following the recent Israeli elections and the formation of the new government within a complex global context, in which relations between the United States and Israel are facing an unprecedented situation.

Dr. Harris has been honored fourteen times by the governments of Germany, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Spain, France, Italy, Latvia, Poland, and Ukraine for his international efforts in defense of human rights, the advancement of transatlantic cooperation, and his dedication to the Jewish people.

He regularly writes for The Huffington Post, The Jerusalem Post, El País from Spain and L'Opinione from Italy. Since 2011, he has had a weekly segment on CBS Radio that reaches millions of listeners across the United States.
