Academics attended the 18th Ibero-American Conference on Software Engineering (CIbSE 2015)

Dr. Santiago Matalonga, a research professor in Software Engineering, and Cecilia Nacimento, a graduate of the Bachelor’s program in Systems Engineering and a student in the Master’s program in Engineering by Research, participated, with support from the Faculty of Engineering’s Research Fund, in the 18th Ibero-American Congress on Software Engineering (CIbSE 2015), organized by Ricardo Palma University, which took place from April 22 to 24, 2015, in Lima, Peru.

Dr. Matalonga served as chair of the Latin American workshop on Experimental Software Engineering (ESELAW).

For her part, Ms. Nacimento presented the article“Proposal for a Mechanism to Measure Agility in Development Projects,co-authored with Dr. Matalonga, Mr. Alejandro Adorjan, associate academic coordinator of Systems Engineering, and Mr. Gastón Mousqués, professor of Software Engineering at the School of Engineering.

The article“Comparing Security Patterns and Security Tactics for Building Secure Systems: Identifying Security Threats” was also presented at the conference. Its authors are Dr. Matalonga, along with:
- René Noël, professor at the School of Civil and Computer Engineering, University of Valparaíso; Chile,
- Gilberto Pedraza-García, Ph.D. student at the University of the Andes, Colombia, and research professor in the Computer Engineering Program at the Piloto University of Colombia;
- Dr. Hernán Astudillo, faculty member in the Department of Computer Science at the Federico Santa María Technical University, Chile;
- Oscar Encina, professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Federico Santa María Technical University.

Both articles were published in the conference proceedings.
