Paper accepted for presentation at The International Chemical Congress of Pacific Basin Societies

The paper “Silica-enzyme nanohybrids for biocatalysis,” authored by researchers in the biotechnology department of the School of Engineering, was accepted on May 15, 2015, for presentation at The International Chemical Congress of Pacific Basin Societies (Pacifichem 2015). The event will take place from December 15 to 20, 2015, in Honolulu, United States.

The event is organized by the Pacific Basin Societies (American Chemical Society, Canadian Society of Chemistry, The Chemical Society of Japan, Royal Australian Chemical Institute, New Zealand Institute of Chemistry, The Korean Chemical Society, and Chinese Chemical Society).

The authors of the article are:
- Erienne Jackson, B.S., research teaching assistant in the Biotechnology Bachelor’s Program
- Mariana Ferrari, B.S., coordinator of the Biotechnology Laboratory at the School of Engineering
- Diego Cazaban, graduate student in the Basic Sciences Development Program (PEDECIBA) at the University of the Republic. Research Introduction Student at the School of Engineering.
- Prof. Sonali Correa, Research Professor in Biotechnology at the School of Engineering.
