The Declaration *Nostra Aetate* (Our Age), which addresses the Church’s relations with non-Christian religions, was approved on October 28, 1965, during the fourth and final session of the Second Vatican Council, which opened in 1962 under the presidency of Pope John XXIII and concluded under the presidency of Pope Paul VI.
It was the shortest document issued by this council, but it became a milestone for the future of interreligious dialogue, especially regarding relations with Judaism, since, among other considerations, it absolves the Jews of responsibility for the death of Jesus and deplores any form of anti-Semitism.
Presenters:
María Sara Corbelle
Pastor Jerónimo Granados
Sonia Kirchheimer
