Spektorowski holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He was a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (United States). He served as a political advisor to former Israeli Foreign Minister Shlomo Ben Ami, with whom he participated, alongside Palestinian officials, in the Camp David peace talks in 2000.
He is the author of the following books TThe Origins of Argentina's Right-Wing Revolution (University of Notre Dame Press, 2003), The Politics of Eugenics: Productionism, Population, and National Welfare (Routledge Press, 2013) and Nationalizing Islam (forthcoming, State University of New York Press). He is a visiting professor at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
