July 21, 2016
On July 20, 2016, the Pocitos Campus hosted the screening of the documentary *Menazka* (*The Saucepan*), directed by Dr. David Serrano Blanquer, a tenured professor at the Blanquerna School of Communication at Ramon Llull University in Barcelona, and founder and director of the Center for Research on European Concentration Camp Literature (CILEC). The documentary is a co-production of Ramon Llull University and Universidad ORT Uruguay. It chronicles the return of Isaac Borojovich, a Nazi-era survivor living in Uruguay, to the Bergen-Belsen camp after being invited by the German government to the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of its liberation.
It presents the testimony of Borojovich, who was imprisoned in several concentration camps between 1941 and 1945, the last of which was Bergen-Belsen. He recounts his return to this camp accompanied by Camino, a Spanish high school student studying the Holocaust.

The documentary was presented by Prof. Luis Elbert, a film critic and former professor at the School of Communication and Design. The presentation featured a testimonial from Borojovich.

The event was organized by the Department of Jewish Studies.
