"Olímpicos," a documentary about Uruguayan athletes directed by Ilan Rosenfeld, a graduate of the Bachelor's program in Audiovisual Communication, and Martín Natalevich, was named Best Feature Film at Detour – New Film Festival. The awards ceremony took place on October 16, 2016, at the Nelly Goitiño Auditorium.

The film tells the stories of Uruguayan athletes who trained to compete in the “Rio 2016” Olympic Games, held from August 5 to 21 in Rio de Janeiro.

The film’s central theme was to answer the question, “What does it mean to be an Olympian in Uruguay?”—a country where resources and interest in so-called “minor sports” are lacking.

Some of the protagonists are: Rodolfo Collazo, Emiliano Dumestre, and Bruno Cetraro (rowing); Pablo and Mikael Aprahamian (judo); María Pía Lorenzotti (table tennis); Néstor Nielsen (equestrian); Emiliano Lasa (long jump); and Alejandro Foglia and Dolores Moreira (sailing).
