Seminar with philosopher Santiago Kovadloff

On May 28 and 29, 2017, a seminar featuring philosopher Santiago Kovadloff, a professor of philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires, was held at the Pocitos Campus (Bvar. España 2633). Starting with the question “Where should we go?”, the speaker discussed the relevance of prophetic thought today.

The event was organized by the Center for Jewish Studies and the Department of Jewish Studies at Universidad ORT Uruguay of Universidad ORT Uruguay.

Prof. Kovadloff holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Business and Social Sciences in Argentina. He is a full member of the Argentine Academy of Letters, a corresponding member of the Royal Spanish Academy, and vice president of the National Academy of Moral and Political Sciences. He is a member of the Argentine Chapter of the Club of Rome.

He is a regular contributor to the Buenos Aires newspaper La Nación. He is a member of the advisory board of Criterio magazine. He was a member of the Ethics Tribunal of the Jewish Community of Buenos Aires. He is the author of the books *El silencio primordial*, *Ensayos de intimidad*, *Lo irremediable*, *Sentido y riesgo de la vida cotidiana*, *Una biografía de la lluvia*, *Los apremios del día* , and *El enigma del sufrimiento*, among others.
