An ad created by students will represent ORT University in a contest organized by the newspaper El País to mark its 90th anniversary

An advertisement created by Advertising and Communication students at Universidad ORT Uruguay selected to represent the institution in the contest marking the 90th anniversary of the newspaper El País.

A Thousand Photos from El País

The School of Communication and Design invited its upper-level students in the Bachelor’s programs in Advertising Communication and Graphic Design to create an advertisement that will represent the university in a creative contest organized by the newspaper El País. The selected piece will be published in the collection “A Thousand Photos Rescued from Oblivion, commemorating the newspaper’s 90th anniversary.

The winning entry was submitted by Diego Covucci and Romina Míguez, fifth-semester students in the Bachelor's Degree program in Advertising Communication.

The jury was composed of Álvaro Ahunchain, Academic Coordinator of Advertising Communication; Myriam Broder, Communications Secretary at ORT University; Diego Lazcano, Creative Director at the Young & Rubicam agency; and Martín Avdolov and Alan Grunewald, professors in the Bachelor’s Degree program in Advertising Communication. 

The award-winning ad will compete in the creative contest organized by El País to mark its 90th anniversary, which is open to clients and advertising agencies; the first prize is $20,000 and the second prize is $10,000.
