On November 6, the lecture "Process Improvement in the Real World" was held in the Auditorium of the School of Engineering, presented by Margaret Kulpa and Kent Johnson,Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technical Officer , respectively, of the international process consulting firm AgileDigm.

Margaret Kulpa has over 30 years of experience in the development of complex, software-intensive systems. She is an internationally renowned author, presenter, and consultant in the fields of management, software engineering, and process improvement. She has developed and taught courses on software quality assurance, project management, peer review, requirements engineering and management, process baselines and modeling, security and safety, and other topics related to software engineering. She served as a reviewer and editor for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers ( IEEE) journal.

Kent Aaron is an SEI-authorized SCAMPI Lead Appraiser, an SEI-certified SCAMPI High Maturity Lead Appraiser, and an SEI-authorized CMMI instructor. He has been involved in process improvement with the SEI since 1987. Internationally, Kent has helped clients in more than 25 countries improve their software systems and processes. He has helped clients progress from Maturity Level 1 to Level 5 using both the CMM and the CMMI. He served as Chairman of the International Council on Systems Engineering ( INCOSE) Systems Architecture Working Group and has led presentations and tutorials at conferences in North America, South America, and Europe.
