On October 15, Punta Carretas Shopping announced the six finalists for the fifth edition of the Lúmina competition. Noel Asís and Emilia Hernández, students in the Fashion Design program, and Laura Almeida, a graduate of the program, were three of the competition’s finalists. Each finalist will prepare their collection to present in March 2011 before a jury that will select the winner.
Asís presented the Amélie collection, Hernández the Pupa collection, and Almeida the Departamento Cero collection.
This year’s competition featured 80 students and designers from nine educational institutions (universities and schools).
