On July 22, 2013, the television program “Bendita TV” received the Gold Award from the magazine *Sábado Show*, published by the newspaper *El País*. The production team includes graduates and students from the School of Communication and Design. Pablo Tambucho, a graduate of the Bachelor’s program in Audiovisual Communication, serves as the program’s Executive Producer and Director.

In an interview with the In Situ website, Mr. Tambucho explained what it’s like to create “the first archive program on Uruguayan television.” He added that “some describe it as a comedy programmes , but purists believe that programmes are sketch programmes starring actors; I believe that Bendita TV creates humor through mistakes.”

Tambucho has been working at Bendita TV since October 2005, during its pre-production phase. The first episode aired in March 2006, where he served as executive producer. “The show has grown just as our archive has grown,” he stated. “The more programmes and the more hours you accumulate, the more contradictions you find in certain characters, the more angles you find on certain topics. What began as a simple blooper show evolved into a program that, in addition to bloopers, also features current affairs reports that tackle sensitive issues.”
