March 23, 2015
On March 23, 2015, Dr. Patricia Corbo, academic secretary of the School of Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, and Paula Galloti, an engineering graduate in Systems Engineering and co-founder of DVelop Software Solutions, participated in the “Girls in Blue” panel, which took place in IBM’s Blue Room as part of the event organized by the company to mark International Women’s Day.

The goal of this activity was to provide a space for sharing ideas and experiences that would help promote women's participation in fields related to information and communication technology.

Also participating as panelists were Serrana Casella, director of IBM's Business Analytics division, and Sylvia Chebi, director of ThalesLab (a company that supports tech startups).

During their presentations, they explained how and why they decided to become engineers and entrepreneurs, what motivated them and what their experiences were, and why they would recommend pursuing a career in science.
