4th Equipment Seminar

As part of the curriculum for the Interior Design program, the "4th Furnishings Seminar" was held from October 15 to 27. The event consisted of a workshop exclusively for students and a series of lectures open to the general public.

The workshop, which took place from October 15 to 27, was designed for students in Workshop 2 of the Interior Design program. It was led by full-time faculty member Lourdes Betancor, along with guest lecturer Andrés Buencristiano. The workshop was further enriched by the participation of prominent design professionals from our country: Flavio Morán, Antonio Del Castillo, Eduardo Gimenez, and Roberto Moraes.

Lourdes Betancor
Full Professor of Technology, School of Architecture. Former Vice President of the Association of Professional Interior Decorators and Designers (ADDIP).

Dis. Andrés Buencristiano
President of ADDIP during the 2003–2004 term and current member of the board of directors.
Interior Designer at the firm Walmer since 1986.
He has given numerous talks and seminars on: “Freehand Design,” “Living Rooms,” “Casa FOA Avant-Premiere,” etc.
Exhibition Booth Design for: Antaño, Pronovias, Expo Ideas, Art and Design, Expo Hogar.
Visual Artist.

Architect Antonio Del Castillo
Full Professor of Design at the School of Architecture. Technical Coordinator, Community Architects, Ciudad de la Costa. Specialization in interior architecture and furnishings. “Università degli Studi Federico II” in Naples. Construction Director, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Dis. Eduardo Gimenez
Interior Designer at the Design Department of JB Conceptos. Has participated in the last five editions of Art and Design, designing living rooms and youth bedrooms. Attends furniture and interior design fairs in Germany, Spain, Italy, and the United States.

Architect Roberto Moraes
Managing Partner of the architecture firm KGM Arquitectura y Diseño, based in Marbella (Spain). Managing Partner of the construction services company ENKI. Director of the architecture firm Kimelman – Moraes (Uruguay).

Dis. Flavio Morán

Professor in the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Interior Design. Partner at ODEMAS Studio. From 1998 to 2008, he was part of the Technical Department at MERIDIANO. Head of Special Product Development at HERMAN MILLER from 1990 to 2000.
