Series of Interior Design Activities

From Tuesday, March 15, to Thursday, March 17, the Faculty of Architecture hosted the workshops “Experimenting with Design” and “Creating Scenarios,” as well as the roundtable discussion “Looking Inside Interior Design.” This series of activities was held as part of the Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design and the Interior Design vocational program.



Tuesday, March 15
"Experimenting with Design" Workshop
Participants were provided with materials that allowed them to create a piece based on their creativity, experiencing a class similar to those in the regular curriculum. Light, color, and textures will take center stage in this activity.
Instructor: Angel Baldi – Professor of Visual Communication and Drawing at the Artigas Teachers’ Institute. Interior Designer. Full Professor of Drawing at the school.

Wednesday, March 16
Roundtable Discussion: “Looking Inside Interior Design”
The speakers presented different perspectives on interior design.
Speakers: Nadia Abalos, graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design; Diego Aguilar, graduate of the Interior Design program; Teo Corp, student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design program; Architect Jorge Migues, who specialized in design at the Escola de Disseny i Art in Barcelona , Project Architect in the Projects Department of the National Directorate of Architecture at the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works, former President of the Association of Professional Interior Designers of Uruguay (ADDIP), Full Professor of Design at the faculty, and Architect Ricardo Chelle, Academic Coordinator of Interior Design.

Thursday, March 17,
“Creating Scenarios” Workshop
This workshop focused on the participants’ creativity, as they created a set design using materials provided to them.
Instructor: Flavio Morán—Member of the Otroestudiomas studio, which specializes in architecture, design, and interior design projects. Full Professor of Interior Design at the school.
