General requirements
Only those who meet the following requirements are eligible to apply for the Academic Excellence Scholarship Fund (FEXA):

Minimum required qualifications
Pass with:
- a score of 7 or higher in the 11th gradeand a score of 8 or higher in the 12th grade, or
- A grade of 8 or higher in 10th grade, or
- International Baccalaureate (IB).
- If you do not have your test results at the time of application, you must submit a certificate issued by the relevant high school.

3rd-year high school student
Have completed or be currently enrolled in the 11th grade during the school year immediately preceding the start of the program.

Start of the season in March
The scholarship is available only for the start of the semester in March for all undergraduate programs offered by the institution.
There are two types of academic excellence scholarships:
1. Financial assistance is needed
This program is intended for students who need financial assistance to pursue their studies. Eligibility is determined based on PAA scores and the submitted Affidavit of Income.
The PAA takes place in June, July, August, October, and November of the previous year, and in February and March of the starting year. Students from outside the city also have an interview with a social worker to discuss their specific situation.
The maximum scholarship covers 60% of tuition, applies to the entire degree program, and does not need to be renewed. Students must maintain good academic standing.

Special Scholarships
As part of the Academic Excellence Scholarships for students in need of financial assistance, the university offersspecial scholarships covering 80% of tuitionfor those who meet the following requirements:
- Score1,470 points or higher onthe PAA.
- Have a total household incomeof 12 UR or less perhousehold member. This calculation is based on gross income, that is, before any deductions.
2. No financial assistance is required
It is strictly merit-based and is intended for students who do not require financial aid to pursue their studies.
These scholarships are awarded solely on the basis of the score obtained on the Academic Aptitude Test (PAA), which is administered in June, July, August, October, and November of the previous year, and in February and March of the year the program begins.
The maximum scholarship amount is 35% and covers the entire duration of the degree program without the need for renewal. To retain the scholarship, recipients must maintain acceptable academic performance.
IMPORTANT:
- To apply for this grant, students must have a personal interview with an academic advisor from the program to which they are applying.
- These funds do not apply to students who wish to transfer credits and continue their studies at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
