Seminar

Discussions on educational settings in the Finnish context.

  • Date: mar 25, 2025 Time: 6:00 PM Location: Communication School Auditorium—1185 Uruguay Ave.
Intended for:The general public
Organized by:School of Architecture / Institute of Education / Universidad ORT Uruguay

The seminar will focus on the transformation of Finnish education and its relationship to the design and use of educational spaces. Emphasis will be placed on the need to create high-quality, technology-enhanced learning environments—both physical and psychosocial.

Among other topics, the discussion will address the importance of experts in education, architecture, and technology working together to reflect the multifaceted components of a learning environment. This collaboration helps improve the quality of teaching and learning processes and the well-being of teachers and students.

The seminar is part of the Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Learning Environment Design project, funded by the Team Finland Knowledge program (Finland). It involves three institutions of higher education: Aalto University, the University of Jyväskylä, and Universidad ORT Uruguay.

Its goal is to provide a multidisciplinary and international perspective on the design of learning spaces, promoting interaction among different fields of knowledge.
