The integration of renewable energy into architecture represents one of the greatest challenges and opportunities for the design of the built environment.
This event will bring together specialists from Europe and Latin America to share experiences, research, and case studies on the integration of energy efficiency strategies, renewable energy, and sustainability into contemporary architecture.
Drawing on a variety of academic and professional perspectives, the event will address the role of architecture in the energy transition, bioclimatic design, technological innovation, and the training of future professionals, while promoting the exchange of knowledge among students, faculty, and professionals interested in building a more sustainable future.

Founder and director of La Casa Uruguaya and team leader of the first-place winning team at the 2015 Solar Decathlon Latin America and the Caribbean. The project won the 2016 National Energy Efficiency Award in the Buildings category. He received a special mention in the 2023 National Energy Efficiency Award for the “Cabrera-Bonino House.” Academic coordinator of the Specialization Diploma in Sustainable Architecture and instructor of Thermal Conditioning and Renewable Energy, School of Architecture, Universidad ORT Uruguay. -
Lukáš, M.Arch. Mráz (Slovakia)Master’s degree in Architecture, Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (Slovakia). Ph.D. candidate in Architecture, researcher, and teaching assistant in the Department of Architecture at the same institution. Freelance architect and 3D designer. His work lies at the intersection of architecture, nature, and technology through computational design and photogrammetry, with an emphasis on experimental and sustainable approaches and on adapting architecture to climate change. He has participated in exhibitions and academic activities at Helsinki Design Week, the Czech Technical University in Prague, and the Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallinn. Nominated for the Professor Lacko Award (2022).
